Wednesday - Last Kiss

Well, where oh where can my baby be?

The Lord took her away from me.

She's gone to heaven, so I got to be good,

So I can see my baby when I leave this world.

We were out on a date in my daddy's car.

We hadn't driven very far.

There in the road, straight ahead ...

The car was stalled, the engine was dead.

I couldn't stop, so I swerved to the right.

Never forget the sound that night ...

The cryin' tires, the bustin' glass.

The painful scream that I heard last.

Well, when I woke up, the rain was pourin' down.

There were people standing all around.

but I found my baby somehow that night.

I raised her head, and when she smiled, and said,

I held her close.  I kissed her our last kiss.

I found the love that I knew I would miss.

But now she's gone, even though I hold her tight.

I lost my love ... my life, that night.

고딩 때 이 빽판을 실수로 구매하게 됩니다.
좋은 노래가 없었는데 이 노래를 듣고 돈값은 했네 하였지요.
이후 나의 십팔번이 되었고 들으면서 가사를 적어 해석도 하고 했지요.
그때 토익이나 칠 걸 ㅎㅎㅎㅎ
사고로 죽은 그의 여자 친구에 대한 애정을 표한 곡이지요. 멜로디는 유치하지만 참 좋아했던 추억의 명곡입니다. 

덕분에 그 힘든 수요일이라는 단어를 지금도 잘 기억하고 있어요. ㅋㅋㅋㅋ
