인텔 주가 폭락 & 인텔 2년 보증 연장 발표(Intel Two-Year Warranty Extension Statement)

실적 부진에 감원발표로 시간외 거래에서 20% 정도 폭락하고 있습니다.

직원도 15%에 해당하는 1만5천명 감원하기로 했고,

결정적으로 배당금을 취소한다고 했는데 이게 폭락에 큰 영향을 미쳤습니다.

아래 뉴스에 투자회사 번스타인의 애널리스트의 표현에 의하면 이제 기업의 존재 기반을 위협하는 수준에 이르렀다고 판단된다는 커맨트가 있습니다.

Tomshardware 뉴스에 따르면 인텔이 박스형 인텔 13/14세대 프로세서에 대한 보증을 2년 더 연장 할 거라고 합니다 (박스형 강조)

일반적인 보증 기간이 3년이므로, 연장되면:

• 박스형 프로세서에 대한 보증 기간이 5년으로 늘어난다고 합니다. (Intel Customer Support에 문의) 
• OEM CPU는 제조사에게 문의하라고 하니, 제조사를 통해 warranty 확장이 될 수도 있겠지만, 제조사 결정에 따라야 할 것 같습니다.
• 트레이(벌크) 프로세서도 보증이 1년에서 3년으로 연장되지만, 벌크 제품은 구매처에 문의를 해야 하나 봅니다.
• 병행수입 벌크는 구매처에 문의를 해보라고 한다고 합니다. 연장 보증이 적용 될 지는 미지수인 것 같으니 구매처에 문의해야 할 것 같고요.

정품 박스가 아닌 경우에는 어떻게 결정 될 지 두고봐야 할 것 같습니다.

• For users who purchased systems from OEM/System Integrators – please reach out to your system manufacturer’s support team for further assistance.
• For users who purchased a boxed CPU – please reach out to Intel Customer Support for further assistance.

Intel is also investigating options to easily identify affected processors on end user systems and will provide additional guidance as soon as possible.
